etaf-video-player
0.2.1updatedPlay video with sound in an ETAF buffer
Install
(require 'package)
(add-to-list 'package-archives '("etaf" . "https://etaf.top/packages/"))
(package-initialize)
(package-refresh-contents)
(package-install 'etaf-install)
(call-interactively #'etaf-install)
One entry installs everything ETAF provides. Evaluate this once (it only bootstraps the installer), then use M-x etaf-install and pick etaf-video-player. etaf-install checks the required capabilities, installs the framework dependencies, opens the application and reopens it offline later. Upgrade or remove with M-x list-packages, then restart Emacs. Read the installation reference for the full workflow.

- Three render modes in one player: etaf-video-player-render-mode and the :mode hint choose image, ascii (density ramp) or color (true-color half blocks), and C switches a running player without losing its position, rate…
- etaf-video-player-doctor reports ffmpeg, ffprobe and SQLite availability in the same shape as etaf-install-doctor, so the installer can show what is missing before the player opens.
- A canvas fits a frame that cannot answer posn-at-point (batch, headless or a mounted-but-unshown buffer): the fitted grid comes from the measured stage size and only its placement needs the pointer position.
